Single Out Today and DarwenLive

Hmmm...hello...

Today our single is released to the masses. Go enjoy. If you’ve pre-ordered from 7Digital they should’ve sent you a reminder email that you can download it. Its on iTunes so you can search "Avalon Way" (clever) and it should appear. We’ll bring forth links later.

We’d also like to announce that AW have become the new face of DarwenLive ’08…or so it seems. There’s another feature in tonight’s Lancashire Evening Telegraph about DarwenLive and there’s a photo of us, again. This time we got a little front page section too. You can’t buy publicity like that, can you? Anyway, thanks to The Telegraph. We are actually playing at the festival this year btw, Monday 8:50pm, Knott Street Stage, on/near Knott Street presumably. See you there then.

AW premiere and more radio stuff’

Hola! Que Tal? Estupendo?! Muy Bien.

Many thanks to the die hard AW fans that showed up at the Hordens in Blackburn on Saturday, you pleaded with us to play Had Enough, we ignored you, but in a good way.

Despite that, we premiered the new material and the result was good, so again many thanks.

We are continuing our quest to be featured on every radio station ever and we have two more to add to the ranks.

7waves radio 92.1 FM on the Wirral and yet another overseas station, this time in Hamilton, New Zealand, AM1206/FM106.7. Wowzers.

Due to Geography and the fact that our van wouldn’t make it we wont be going to New Zealand to do an interview, or any kind of moving long distances. However we should be going to 7waves to have a chit chat. Watch this space surrounded by a dotted line and a little pair of scissors.

Avalon Way FM and Gig - Tonight

Hi there fans

Let’s have a little radio update. We’ve been all kinds of busy talking to DJ’s across the UK about our new single, the band and other assorted random topics.

Wednesday saw us doing a phone interview on Leith FM, local to Edinburgh and Friday we took trip all the way down to Cambridge to do an interview on the Friday Show for 209 Radio. You can listen again to the Cambridge interview...

HERE!

We talked about music, motoring, pirates, ninjas and steak pudding. Skip to 1hr44mins to get to the start of our interview.

If anyone is free tonight we’re tagging on to the front of the bill at The Hordens, Blackburn where our good friends Small Amp are playing. We’ll be doing a short set to warm up for our tour so feel free to come along and through happiness at us.

GlastoFM’

Evening

Monks, the Tor, apples, the alleged final resting place of King Arthur and the surrounding mythology and legend … it can only be Glastonbury, inexorably linked with the legendary island of Avalon … Way.

Avalon Way are due to be featured on Glastonbury FM, which is linked to the Glastonbury Festival and also broadcasts all year round for your listening pleasure (yeaahhhh).

If you live within 15 miles of Glastonbury you'll be able to pick them up on 107.1FM, or alternatively you can listen on www.glastonburyfm.com. Its not confirmed when we will be featured, but you can be sure that we will let u know sooner rather than later.

We are also going to be featured on Radio Hampshire 107.8FM, the new sound of the south, ahhhhh. Or listen here : www.radiohampshire.com As before we don't know when but when we find out, I will get me people to call your people, its just how we do things round here.

The press pack is on its way south having a mini adventure via royal mail. When it has finished its journey, not unlike the one in EuroTrip , is it torn open and does what it was born to do, tell people about us. That's show business, kid.

Regards, Rik, Ric, Chris and Matt - Avalon Way

Greetings

On the back of the upcoming single on the 31st of this month we have been approached by JUD music publishing, licensing and online distribution, who want to re-release our last EP 'WE ARE'.

The contracts have been signed, the ink's dried and cigars have been passed around, and all this means that you can get our EP from all good download sites around the same time as the single, 'See Me Down'. Wizard.

The release date is unknown at the moment but rest assured we will update the myspace and facebook.

On a sadder note, our live session and interview at BBC radio Somerset on Friday 7Th March has been postponed because Rik was unfortunate enough to have someone jump on his head in a takeaway late at night and is having nose surgery on that day.

It will be re-arranged roughly a month ahead of the original date so no harm done (apart from the nose). If you read this and know Richard Holden personally, or not, then please leave your regards on the comments or give him a hug in the street and I am sure he will appreciate it.

Yo There,

A belated happy mothers day to you all. We hope it was everything you ever dreamed.

We spent Sunday by the sea in Holderness, East Yorkshire, having fun on Seaside FM! It was an interesting show sandwiched between Prince and The Rolling Stones. We did a bit of a live session too.

After our broadcast we sampled the arcades, played on the beach and went for a pub lunch. Holderness is a fun day out; we highly recommend it, 5 AW stars out of 5.

This Friday we're heading to BBC Somerset to do a live session. It's really close to Weston-super-mare so I'm sure we'll review the exciting attractions of the west coast. The show is airing in the morning so we get the whole afternoon to take stupid photo's and play insane games.

Super SmOOch
