Festival, videos, re-releasing and general jive

How do guys and gals

For all those who attended the Darwen festival gigs we would like to thank you for coming down, enjoying our sets and singing the odd lyric at Knott Street Stage and the Millstone respectively.

Some fan videos have been uploaded to YouTube as a result and the Walls/Transparency video at the Knott Street Stage also features the guitar smashing incident courtesy of Rik - Yikes. Click HERE to access the video's.

We have also completed our 2nd gig organised by us with LD concerts and promotions. The Steady Boys regrettably had to cancel but alas, our buddies Salacious stepped into the breach complete with new singer Beth McDonald. Turnout was great and both ourselves and Salacious put on a great show. Watch this space for more upcoming LD promotions gigs.

We also got a brilliant response from our ongoing 'Cover of the Month' competition. Will let y'all know who the victor of this particular month as soon as someone bothers to get the request slip out of the spangled box of wonder, which looked like a large quality street sweet this time … janky.

Meanwhile …

On the 2nd of June AW re-released our much credited EP 'We Are' under JUD music publishing. As a result we have re-introduced 'See What I See' into our set list and maybe a couple more 'oldies' if we feel nostalgic, ahhhhhhhh, t'was a simpler time back then.

High five to you jive turkey.

Local folk take heed, others just read

Howdy folks...

Darwen Music Festival is fast approaching, the local festival to end them all. The 'Way' (as we have been dubbed by a small group of super fans) will be playing not once, not thrice but 2 TIMES, yes TWICE at this prestigious event.

We will be appearing at 8pm on Monday the 26th MAY on the Knott Street Stage (Hi rise Car Park near the bus station) which is a stage dedicated to Darwen bands, and I hear Nightmare Visions will be appearing on this stage also at around 5pm, so if you want to bleed internally, come down a little earlier.

We will also be appearing later that night at the MILLSTONE at around 11pm (time tbc) finishing out the festival as the millstone is the last place open, solid!

In other news, we have organised our own gig under the moniker of LD Promotions at the Jubilee in Blackburn on the 30th May at 8:30pm with our good friends The Steady Boys (Top ska/punk band) from Bishop Auckland on the bill. Both LD Promotions and The Steady Boys can be found on our top friends section. It Free entry and the Jubilee has just been refurbished so come down and shake yer maracas in Blackburn town.

Also, as a result of the last LD promotions gig, we will be playing out the set with our cover request competition winner Alex 'Turgid' Martindale's selection of 'Monkey Wrench' by The Foo Fighters. We will have our super-spangled box of mystery at the Jubilee on the night of the gig and you can make your cover suggestions for the next LD Promotions gig. If you win, YOU TOO could be hearing a cover version of your choice whilst enjoying your favourite pint of larger, bitter or cider courtesy of the band.

And, in national news …

Rik, Ric and Matt ventured down to the Seaside in Holderness not so long back, Seaside Radio 105.3FM in fact! The guys chatted with Mike Brown from the station and underneath are a link to the magical encounter that was experienced.
